2007 Eurasian Economic Forum was held in Xi'an from November 8 to 9, 2007. The forum is organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Business Committee, the United Nations Development Program, the Eurasian Economic Community Secretariat, the China Development Bank, the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, the Boao Forum for Asia, the Xi'an Municipal People's Government and Beijing Contemporary World Development Institute, the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau Standing Committee, the CPPCC National Committee Chairman Jia Qinglin attended the opening ceremony of the forum and made keynote speech. More than 1,200 government officials, entrepreneurs and experts from more than 20 countries from Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Iran have gathered in Xi'an to discuss cooperation and development. The forum has highlighted the theme of "strengthening pragmatic cooperation and seeking common development" and has achieved various results. The Forum has a total of six meetings of the General Assembly and the Energy, Finance, Tourism, Local Government Cooperation, Education and National Investment Environment Promotion sessions, all of which are common concerns of Eurasian economic development. The forum's discussion on energy, the "Silk Road" tourism, development finance cooperation and local government cooperation has shifted from the exchange level to the discussion of substantive cooperation. Members of the participating countries, regions and agencies in the diversification of energy cooperation, advocated the establishment of the Silk Road barrier-free tourist area, proposed to create regional Eurasian capital market, advocacy to strengthen human resources cooperation, promote Eurasian national education mutual authentication, seeking to establish Pragmatic local government cooperation mechanism of effective ways and support forces and other aspects of a consensus. 2007 Eurasian Economic Forum signed by the participants of the "Xi'an Consensus" is the Eurasian Economic Forum published the first public declaration of the nature of the document, Xi'an is the Eurasian Economic Forum, a major contribution to the Eurasian Economic Forum pragmatic The milestone in cooperation.
